​A New Movement

The River City Sting is a women's tackle football team in Richmond, Virginia. Our mission to empower women reaches beyond field-play. We hold team-based activities and fundraising events, as well as volunteer around Richmond in order to give back to the very community from which we came. We plan to create not only a legacy, but a movement. We’re breaking barriers, one play at a time... 

​Whether you've played for years or never had the pleasure of doing so, we welcome you to strap up your cleats with us. Not only are we passionate about this sport, but we are also passionate about our players-- you can accomplish great things with us!
